A painting of the British Linen Bank Building on the High Street in Glasgow.
The building has stood since 1895 while the other buildings which once surrounded it have gone. Glasgow seems to have a problem preserving and cherishing much of its built heritage as buildings are left empty to become derelict and unsaveable. No where is this more observable than the older buildings and tenements on the High Street. The Linen Bank stands alone now with its beauty and character intact as developers look to build around and above her.
