"Afton Street Tenements After A Summer Rainfall"
A painting based on sketchbook drawings created in Summer 2025 when I set off to draw in Maxwell Park and then got caught in a sudden downpour of rain despite it being a pretty sunny and warm day. As I walked home soaked I noticed the tenements on Afton Street in Shawlands glistening after the rain and stopped to sketch them quickly in soft pastels.
